Encinitas Homes

With its six miles of spectacular coastline featuring dramatic cliffs, mesa bluffs, and Encinitas ocean front homes, the City of Encinitas is about 25 miles north of downtown San Diego, and borders the Batiquitos Lagoon to the north and the San Elijo Lagoon to the south.

Featuring one of California’s classic downtowns along the historic Coast Highway 101, Encinitas’ tide and sandy bluffs leave little beach space, but the coastal area does include the popular Moonlight Beach off Encinitas Blvd. Encinitas hosts many surfing hot spots such as the famous Swami’s surf break, with smaller beach areas accessible down elaborate stairways off Neptune Ave.

Encinitas is nicknamed the “Flower Capital of the World” due to the many agricultural fields and greenhouses that dot the area and gentle hills. The Paul Ecke Ranch is well-known for its poinsettia plants, and the San Diego Botanic Garden showcases a rainforest and beautiful plants from all over the world.
